Watch Your Child Do Their Homework
One of the easiest ways to tell if your child is suffering from poor eyesight is observing them as they work. If they struggle reading, hold the book close to their face, or have to use their fingers to keep track of their progress, it could be a sign they need glasses. Poor handwriting is another tell-tale sign that you want to keep an eye out for.
Listen to Their Complaints Carefully
Children know when they’re having problems, even if they don’t know what the problem is. Here are some common complaints from children who need an eye exam:
- Tired or sore eyes.
- Constant headaches, especially because of light.

Watch Them for Visual Clues
